Simple And Early Proof Of Concept Acheived

Scientists have put a worm’s brain into a Lego robot’s body - and it works!


This is an amazing achievement and very early proof of concept! Putting the ethics of such a thing aside for the moment . . . for example when it eats and does charging of and dis-charging of the batteries of the robot body does it represent hunger?  For a much more complex being with many cognitive subsystems, what happens when they all can't be attached to some part of the robot, have simulated input and output. Emotions and energy and psychological well being are complex things in complex organisms and larger systems of organisms. We are some way from being there, but still this is really amazing.
